The Frenchies....

Anne and Thibaud were over with us for nearly two weeks at the start of July recently. I have to say that I was worried about having house guests for that long, but they proved to be excellent. They helped to keep the place tidy and did the dishes every morning. Anne helped with the cooking and taught me a few new recipes - and it was great to have someone in the house that would help me consume vast quantities of wine and smelly cheese!

They spent some time in Dublin; walking, shopping, doing all the usual tourist things and they also took off for a three day PaddyWagon tour of the South. They had great fun on that and got to see plenty of things and their only complaint was that all the tourist literature was in English only. I have to say that I was stunned - surely in a country where the tourism accounts for such a high percentage of the economy we should publish tourist pamphlets in other languages....
