So I've been lazy and neglected my blogging during the holidays, but G & I have had a really good time on our week off, it's hard to think that the alarm will be sounding at 6:30 in the morning and that I'll be back at work tomorrow!
We went and looked at an apartment in ParkWest on Tues morning, but it was really crappy and small so it was a concerted "No Thanks" as soon as the two of us got out of there... the house search will need to continue in earnest over the next while.
Both Mon and Tues were crappy weather wise, but we dragged ourselves out of the house on Tues evening and headed up to Johnnie Foxes (on Mon afternoon the weather was so bad that we decided not to even try to leave the house!). It was practically three years since G & I were last there and as usual, nothing has changed quality wise. I was naughty and picked snails for my starter and then crab claws swimming in garlic butter for my mains. We were stuffed, but you have to have dessert when you are there, their special whiskey gateau was my choice, while G settled for apple pie.

On Wed we headed up North to spend a couple of days with my Mum and tour some of the North Coast of Ireland. No trip to Mum would be complete these days without a stop at McCartney's butchers in Moira, for some of their wonderful sausages - they have some of the maddest flavours that I've ever seen! The winner this time for us was the Chorizo flavoured ones - so good that we stopped there again on our way back to get some more. So the freezer is now very well stocked in preparation for winter, and I'm sure that our mate Dossy will be round soon begging for dinner some night!
That's enough for now, I'll blog some more tomorrow and tell all about our day on the North Coast, how I ended up Extreme Ironing and how G got pished at Bushmills!
