Beyond the Bloggers
Recording the SessionOne of the undercurrents running through the day-long "Blogging the Election" conference in Dublin is a follow-on working group for elected officials. It's a little like merging "Writing for the Web" with "Effective Blogging". Anyone who reads blogs appreciates blogs with content more than blogs with pretty adornment. Sourcing quality content and then presenting it effectively online is a challenge. Monitoring your content when it attracts comments from across the political spectrum is often an unwelcome task. Those who have blogged for more than three years could write the missing manual on blogging. Perhaps it's time to share pages from that missing manual with those in government who would like to engage citizens in meaningful ways through blogging. We are starting part of the process by sharing snippets from today's session through several podcasts recorded on the little Sony dictaphone shown above.
